**Flow:** Ticket sold → Scan at the gate → Live analytics

the same ticket, tracked from purchase to the door

PassMi is a ticketing system for event organisers. I was the main contributor:
a platform that had to handle the sale, the door and the numbers the organiser
watches while the event is running.

## One ticket, three moments

A ticket is sold, then scanned, then counted. Each of those happens in a
different place, at a different pace, and often on a different network — the
sale from a phone anywhere, the scan at a gate under time pressure with a queue
behind it, the analytics on a laptop backstage. Getting that to agree is most of
the problem.

## Scanning has to be fast and certain

At the door, the only acceptable answers are _valid_ and _already used_, given
quickly. The scanning path is where a ticketing system is judged, because it is
the one part of it the audience experiences directly.

## The rest of the portfolio

Alongside PassMi I coordinated several client projects: a portfolio site, a
corporate site for a petroleum products company, and other tailored digital
solutions — smaller engagements, but the same discipline about what gets
shipped.
